As I've been shopping for new silhouettes I've noticed I'm having a bear of a time finding deeper necklines with voluminous shapes. I had wondered if it was an issue of physics, being that the drapier items need the smaller neckline to keep them from flopping all over the place. This theory was confirmed yesterday when I got a cocoon dress with a deeper vneck. The dress looked exactly like I'd envisioned, but throughout the day, when I'd happen by a mirror I'd notice the neckline had shifted enough that my bra strap was showing. I considered that I could layer a fitted tank under the dress, but when I've done that in the past the two fabrics stick to each other and some of the ease and flow of the top garment is lost.

Is there a trick I don't know about? The only thing I can come up with is to wear scarves over higher necklines to give a different proportion.
