You would look fantastic in any shade of denim, I'll bet, so the wash is a matter of preference and what you think might work with your wardrobe.
But I understand the question. Recently I bought a light wash denim jacket. My ideal would have been a slightly darker one. This one was also more weathered than I would have preferred. But it was the only one I could find that fit me well and it was very comfortable so I decided to give it a try. Turns out I love it and it's hugely versatile! I like it especially for dressing a look down.
Last week, on sale, I bought a SECOND denim jacket in a different wash and different style (Chanel style collar, different colour hardware, 3/4 length sleeves, and just a touch longer than jacket 1). Am I nuts? I don't think so. It's a really different jacket, even though it's still a denim jacket. There's a place for both kinds.
Back to you.
So...question. Do you plan to wear this mostly with dresses or with pants? It might be a bit long for dresses; can you try it with a dress or skirt to see? (Assuming you plan to wear it that way).
It looks very good from the back to my eye, but the front does seem a bit loose and boxy. Would you wear it done up? How about styling it the way you imagine wearing it and show us again?
Also, how does the material feel? It looks as if it might be a bit stiff.
By the way, at the moment you are wearing a Canadian Tuxedo! (See Patty's thread...)
