Ask Angie and everyone: slouchy wool trousers

I have been looking for a pair of these probably since my son was born and my old ones stopped fitting. The ones you're wearing in today's post are amazing, but I would be happy with a plaid or other pattern too. Any suggestions for where to find a pair that will be in style for a while?

I did love those - but not sure of the fit. I'm confused as to how a 30" leg can possibly look like that on a model? Unless she is my height, which I seriously doubt.

I'm sure you could wear these in a fab way but my very first thought was my high school biology teacher, Mr. Pillet.. he wore plaid pants that looked almost just like that but they were so tight that the plaids were distorted. He was a short, balding, seedy looking thing, and one day his wife came into the classroom and OMG, she was HOT! We were all speechless.
Back to your pants.... I almost think a smaller plaid might work better for pants.

They stopped at her ankle and she wore them with ankle booties. They don't have the same ppl rules as wideleg pants that have to go down to the floor. They just need to be slim and tapered to your leg.

I like modgrl's suggestion on Rae's link. Those pants were k-wow! The shoes on the skirt link seemed Angie-inspired and looked great with the colored tights.

Okay, I'm going to bite the bullet and order Rae's trousers. Worst case scenario, I can review them for everyone else before sending them back. They do have a sass factor that I like with the spats. I'm just praying the inseam will work.
