I'm working to put together outfits for two weddings next month, and getting ready to style and post four dresses for feedback. I'm finally recognizing what an impact current footwear has, so I think I've nailed that (one is outdoors, so no real heels), but when it comes to hose, I'm clueless.

The dresses are all solid --ink, pewter, black and black-- and various near-knee lengths; shoes in finds below. For a while there, I thought black opaques with black pumps looked fresh for evening; now I'm not so sure. Are we trending back to sheers? Black, almost black, or nude? What looks most current for after 5 semi-formal? Photos based on your advice after Labor Day.
