Ask Angie: and Blondo owners. Are these the boots for me?

My Fall list includes an update to my faux-leather black boots. I want them to be real walkers, and flexible enough to wear with skirts or pants. I have a wide (16 in -- I was shocked) calf, but specifically wide-calf boots are usually too big for me. My foot is just a tad on the wide side, as well. As for style, I'm looking for a classic boot that I can wear for several seasons, but one that will add "presence" and "richness" to my outfits.

Are these the ones for me? Do they run TTS?

I swear by the Blondo boots. I bought them at last year's NAS and they have been a fantastic buy.

The footbed is extremely comfy and I can walk in them all day no problem. I have a foot that borders on wide and I found them wide enough. The stretchy shafts allow expansion over the calf so accommodate some extra width. I would say they run TTS in my experience.

They work great with skirts and dresses and will accommodate a tuck of a skinny jean or legging. I think they are worth trying.

And the waterproof feature cannot be appreciated enough when the wet snow arrives!

Last time I tried Blondos I had to size up a full size... I tend to be on the big side of 10. I don't own a pair but I would love to replace one of my current pairs with a BLondo (or Frye) next time.

Thanks for your replies! I thought I remembered you having a pair, Shannon. I know now that the shaft isn't too tall. Nicole --- I'm a 9 1/2, so you and I are close to the same shoe size, if not the same (5'6") height! hee.

Beth Ann - get them - I got them last year, have 16 1/2" calves and a slightly wide foot and they are perfection on me. I can tuck a skinny jean for the first time ever so I nearly cried with happiness when I got these. I sized up 1/2 a size.

Just double checked from an old post what size I ordered and I did go up 1/2 a size (I'm normally a 6.5 and got them in a 7).

Hey - was that a crack about my height - lol! Too funny.

Crossing fingers for both of us, Beth Ann. I've ordered them, too.

They have worked for a wide variety here. They did not work well for Kelly because her ankles/ calves were not high enough volume to fill out the boot and it sort of shrugged.

I bought last year's and spent HOURS walking in them in Europe, including in the rain, and they were FABULOUS. I was told by the friends I was visiting that I looked very French ; ).
