Ask Angie and all: Cognac booties for fall......best choice?

I'd like to get one more pair of booties for fall/winter, and I'm thinking cognac might be useful. (I already own a pair of black and taupe booties.) I'd like them to be as versatile as possible, so I can wear them with my midi skirts, dresses, and skinnies. Here are the 3 pair I'm considering:

Thoughts? (BTW, I've decided against the Anyi Lu booties. I just couldn't reconcile the open toe design with our long fall/winter season.)

I like the Steve Maddens best. Polished and edgy.

I agree with modgirl - the first pair are much more polished, and the last pair are much more casual/edgy. The Steve Maddens in your second link strike a wonderful balance between the two, and as modgirl explained, they are both polished *and* edgy.

First of all, I think Cognac (I always call that tobacco brown, for some obscure reason) is a great choice; it's a nice 'zingy' brown which pairs well with colours like black and navy brilliantly.

I agree that the Trotters 'Jesse' or the Steve Maddens are the most versatile. And I totally get what the others have said about the Steve Maddens combining 'polish with edge'. BUT, on balance, I think I'd plump for the Jesse, simply because the style's a bit higher cut, or taller, than the others, and if you wanted to tuck pants in them, that'd be important.

I like the Trotters best for your style. But it will ALL come down to comfort.

Thanks everyone. I'm leaning toward the Trotters (like you said, Angie, I think they fit best with my style), but maybe I'll try the Steve Maddens also, just to see.
