So I went to a Cabi party today
below are some options of tops to buy or not to buy
First when you do a cabi party you are not always trying on the correct sizes

Picture 1
1. Two items for consideration - 1 a moto type jacket - I have been on the hunt for a black one and have bought 3 and returned 3 so far. Have tried on well over a dozen at this point. Clearly a HEWI. So I found this ponte fabricish offwhite one - would need to size up it was tight in the arms - great fit in the back
2. In picture number 1 the v-neck top - a neckline I never wear - in a greenish, brownish color

The most softest v-neck off-white knit - I would need to size up to a large for the fluid fit is is supposed to have - wearing a medium here.

A fitted black wrap shirt would be worn under suit coats and such

My friend who went with me thought I was crazy b/c I had her taking my picture with different outfits. Wow I can say seeing a couple tops in pictures made it much easier to cut them. In the past I have made some bad mistakes at cabi because I get caught up in the experience with people.

okay I am thinking that I have now talked myself out of the off-white jacket. I will continue my quest for a black moto jacket, that is just right for me and won't settle.
Another YLF lesson learned - the best decisions made are at home.

I think you made a good decision. The moto is OK but not WOW IYNWIM.
The same is for the tops - thy do not have the current cut I think.
Yep, thinking at home is MUCH easier!

Well, I quite like the moto. But if it isn't thrilling you, then absolutely send it back. The tops would be just so-so, even in the right size, so unless you need them for layering, then let them go!

I've actually been eyeing up that moto on their website for myself - I think if you could get the right fit it would be nice. But I can see why a black one might be more versatile. The others don't really grab me.

Now that I have slept on it - I like the concept of the off-white sweater with a v-neck - I wear a ton of gray, black and Navy this could be a good piece to lighten things up in the winter - of course in the right size.
Not sure if it is this off-white sweater or another - Seeing how it could become a wardrobe essential.

Sizing up in the white moto is a great idea and my thumbs are up. The piece has great potential.

"I have been on the hunt for a black one" - so why even think about off-white?? If you want black, wait for it...you'll find it. Good choice to pass!

I see you decided against the off white moto, but I want to add, it's a fantastic color on you. It might be more versatile than you think. One of my stylists sent me a Helmut Lang knit moto-cut jacket in what I thought was a blah version of sand color. (I typically wear grey.) It turns out, I wear the jacket non-stop. Sometimes getting out of our comfort zone can be a good thing, and it opens up possibilities. And the simple tops look great on you, too, if you need some basics in your wardrobe right now. I love your smile.

Not sure if you are still thinking about the cream moto, but here's another vote for it. As well as the black knit top, great fit.
And I just want to add,love your sunnies.

okay so now - I have decided to go with the offwhite Moto - I have possibly to much gray, black and Navy in my wardrobe - off-white just may be something I am craving in the middle of winter.
On a whim I bought an off white jacket this spring and it was in constant rotation for all of spring and summer - It was much more versitle then I ever imangined.

Good luck! I feel kind of grrrr about CAbi. First there's the social pressure thing you touched on. Second, I really find the quality sub par. Especially for the prices you're paying. So just grrr.
