Ask Angie: and all - New Glasses.02 ETA close ups

Is it ok to start a second thread on this subject? I thought it would be less confusing to keep the frames separate as my search hopefully starts to zero in. Then again, there are about a million new frames here too.

I went out Saturday and today to keep looking and find that selection - or my interpretations - are limited. The shapes that seem to work for me are typically dark and the lighter/brighter colors are all the wrong shape. I am starting to get frustrated. I never thought I'd buy online, but may have to look into that option.

So, here are my latest finds. I hope the collages work ok, I thought it would be easier than click, click, clicking through the different pictures.

#2 at Sam's Club of all places. The red frames are wonky on me, but I added the pic for the color reference.
#3 picture 1 is also red.
#4 pictures 3 and 4 are red
#5 picture 4 is a pretty vivid blue, but I guess you can see that

Am I seeing things or is my face kind of long? I always thought it was round.

I'm liking the blue the best. They sit straight and seem balanced, proportion wise.

In photo Collage #2 I like the first frames best.

I hope Angie weighs in on this. Specs are so important, and as I don't wear them, I always hesistate a bit to voice an opinion.

I agree with Liz. They are a nice shape and good size for you. I also like the blue ones but they might be a bit big.

Oh, don't be discouraged! Angie is the Glasses Whisperer. I had to put up three big batches of frames last summer before I found the right ones. Now I get compliments on them almost daily.

You are getting there!!! Don't despair

First, bright red and bright blue frames are the way to go. Brilliant colours for you, Pill. And you'll be able to mix and match those specs with all your clothes - trust me on that.

In photo #3: I LOVE the first red pair!! May I see a photo of that frame on its own? These might be the ones. But I need a close-up to be sure - i.e. not in a collage.

In photo #4: I LOVE the second pair. Would like to see a close-up of that too.

In photo #5: I LOVE the blue of the last pair of specs but the shape is not quite right. Your eyes aren't centred.

I like the second and third pairs in photo #4. The blue color of the last pair in photo #5 is really pretty on you but I think the shape is too angular.

The solo closeups have been added above. I hope they're the right ones!

6 is the red frame in photo 3.
7 is that same red frame but in purple. They did not have that at the shop.
8 is the second pair in photo 4. I couldn't find the frame online as I wrote down the color number rather than model number. For what it's worth the color is "striped Havana pink".

Well, here come I to complicate matters -- my very fave is Angie's other pic, 2nd one in #4!

But I must agree that #6 is also fab and I love it even better in close up. Yay!

Suz I love those frames - your top pick and my first runner up - too! But Pil in the red or blue makes her face come alive, which is why I went with the red.

And heaven knows I want my face to look alive!

Yes, and your face is not "long" either. An oval, from the look of it.

Also, I love the specs that Angie picked and agree about the red. The close ups do help a lot.
