Sorry in advance for peppering you all with questions!

The vote on the glasses so far: 10 in favour of #1 (the purply-red pair); 14 strongly in favour of #2 (the Bevel black and whites), with an additional 5 or 6 equivocal yeses to those (due to fear of an overly harsh look); and 4 in favour of #3 (the Oliver peoples buff) with some strong objections to those ones, too.

There's some overlap because some people liked two.

Personally: I like the fit of #3 best, and the shape of #2 by far the best. But I, too, worry about the colour of both.

They are available in some options that I did not try in store.

Unfortunately, the shape I like best (#2) is only available in "mottled" colours that might suit me. (As GP helpfully pointed out, there are some greens and browns available, but these are not flattering to me; I tried some in the store and they were definite NOs.)

The colours that potentially could work are a mottled purple and a mottled red. Would this look "busy" or be just plain blah? Any experience with this type of frame?

#3 (the clear) are also available in something called Havana Red. The colour might work well. The fit on this one is best. But the shape is not quite as flattering, in my opinion.

I haven't entirely ruled out #1, especially as it is Angie's favourite. But I will tell you that even though my optometrist is selling those frames, he was not personally sold on them, as they will be a bit harder to fit properly for me, and IRL I don't think they look quite as good as the others.
