Okay. I admit it. I was in JCrew today and saw the camel cocoon coat. I bought it on impulse. And I'm a complete sucker when my sales assistant/in-store stylist plus other shoppers egg me on. And they did.

It was such a nice color of camel. The nice, cool, oatmealy camel that I can often wear. The not-so-common camel that I can wear.

And it has that romantic, retro Hitchcock Blonde Style cut that I adore. (Yes, I envisioned myself as both Tippy and Grace in this.) Where are my oxblood leather gloves?

And just this morning I was lamenting that I didn't have a brownish coat.

And it was 25% off on promo.

And they said it was flying out of stock.

And I'm a complete sucker.

But no so much of a sucker that I didn't take pictures and tell them that I was taking it home for a trial, but probably bringing it back.

Does this work on me at all? I've got big shoulders. I've got a full bust. I have a short neck. This isn't the ideal coat for me, is it?

ETA:

Pic 4, Collar all the way up. This is a little close, so probably not how I'd wear it.

Pic 5, Collar slightly open. Much more likely.

Pic 6, collar all the way open with no scarf.

Pic 7, collar folded over. (I don't think this works, but included it for Caro!)

Pic 8, entirely unzipped. Not very me. I'm a zipped up girl.
