Could I make this mine or is it too classic for me? It is beautiful fabric & the fit is good (knee length on me). I would leave off the belt or wear a leather one.

Also do the breast pockets make it day only or could I wear this for evening?

I love the vibe of the thing Penny I just don't want to go off on a tangent. It's in DJs so I think I'll try it because even tough it's on DEEP sale I will be able to return it for a refund.

It does look really nice, and classic. I agree that it's worth a try! I know that sometimes those classics can be molded a bit to suit an edgier style, and sometimes they just fall a bit flat for those of us who want something with a twist -- the only way to know for sure is to try it.

Suz you are right - I don't know why I didn't bring it home I guess I am trying to be a lot more PPP.
Janet yes that's the problem isn't it - they can fall flat. I want my clothes to work together & that's a lot harder for an eclectic to manage.
shevia - I'm not a fan of breast pockets either but these are way above the pointy bits I would ditch the waist tie too.

Sometimes well-placed breast pockets can be flattering from the point of view of overall shape, so they could work.

So, I'm not sure I have a lot to add. Bit late to the party- sorry....

It is a classic style and I'm not really familiar with your personal style yet, Caro. For an eclectic style I can see this with heeled shooties, geometric earrings and an angular clutch. Or perhaps long boots and a paper-boy cap for a more casual look?

The pockets make this a day-time dress for me. Pockets placed there might give the illusion of a fuller bust.

Caro, I agree that you should try it, even though it does seem to me to be a bit different from your usual. If it's calling your name, it's worth checking it out. Sometimes things can turn out to be unexpected "happy" items!

In my opinion, I do feel like the pockets read as more daytime to me.
