I bought this ankle/floor length summer skirt today. I'm just 5"4, hourglass and a size 8/10 (varies by brand). I was planning to wear it with a fitted white tank (untucked) to emphasize waistline - but a friend said it's a bad length for me as I'm short (and not stick thin). I do have access to a good seamstress but the skirt will look weird shortened as it's an ethnic Indian one. Any advice/damage control??
