Dear Angie,

My husband and I will be taking a trip to London this spring and I've read all the articles I could get my hands on from the forum on London shopping, but I have not found a full list of the best stores there. I have a few from your post this fall, but I wondered if you had a comprehensive list of all the must-shop places. I'm especially interested in stores with fabulous hats and fascinators, but also very interested in your recommendations of clothing stores as well.

You are so lucky! Dh & I spent a week in London fall 07 and I completely fell in love with the city. Crazy me didn't do any shopping, though. DH wasn't keen on it & we were too busy trying to see everything we wanted to see. So I'm sorry I don't have any advice, I just wanted to tell you I was excited for you (and jealous) of your upcoming trip.

Sure, Jackie. London is one of my favourite places to shop. VERY expensive though. Don’t faint.

It really depends on your style, age, lifestyle and budget. I could recommend shopping anywhere from Harrods to H&M. A little more info would help.

ChristineB, I'm so sad you didn't get to do at least a little bit of shopping! That's a perfect excuse to go back then!

Angie, I work at an internet company, so I wear anything from nice jeans to business professional during the week and typically sport more jeans or even a tracksuit on the weekends. I'm trying to increase my quality quotient this year (New Years fashion resolutions and all that jazz), so I've been shopping for brands such as Anne Fontaine, Ted Baker, Trina Turk, Rebecca Taylor, True Religion, and Paige Denim most recently, but I'm open to suggestions as I've been introduced to many new brands through YLF. I'm bracing myself for the prices!! Thanks for your help!

I'd head straight for Hobbs, Jigsaw, Karen Millen, Top Shop, New Look, French Connection, Zara, Ghost, Joseph and Oasis.

River Island, Theory, Monsoon and M&S are a hit or miss. Absolutely get yourself to Selfridges and John Lewis department stores as well. This will cover a range of price points.

M&S make the BEST panty hose and tights in the world. Stock up!
