Ask Angie- Leopard Coat

I ordered the Eliza J snow leopard coat from Nordstrom that was in your finds and it finally came today. The XL is too small- a little tight in the arms and a little tight when shut and just not the shape I was hoping for from the pictures. I want a faux fur leopard coat that isn't so fitted. I may need a plus size to have room for winter clothes underneath.
Can you recommend anything?

Glad you posted this. I was considering ordering but if it's snug on you in places, it def won't work on me. Bummer. (My phones autocorrect is driving me bonkers!

Garnet Hill has a leopard print (not snow leopard sadly!) that I've been spying:

In my experience, Garnet Hill is generously sized. Perhaps they could give garment measurements if you called?

I'm very curious about the quality and fit so would be interested in feedback if you do order it.

Jlpp- I was a little surprised it wasn't more roomy. The cape is nice but I need a proper winter coat.

Thanks Greycat- that looks like the same fit as this one that didn't work for me.

I have literally ordered a dozen of leopard coats over the last year! I could write a thesis...but I'm happy to share what I found on the larger end of leopard print in case it helps anyone in the market for a leopard coat. (I ended up keeping the one from NYDJ, to add to my vintage 50s one)

The Adelaqueen/Ovonzo coat from Amazon was really nice--the xxl had plenty of room in the shoulders for me (I usually take a 16/18 for bust) The fabric was amazing--super soft, cool-toned snow leopard. very flattering

The Calvin Klein had a beautiful leopard print, & ran at least 1 size large.

The Via Spiga was nice--a tiny tight in the shoulders in a XL. a little boxy in the body, it was a pretty cooler-toned print. very realistic

6th & Lane--I have it in a 14/16 & have been planning on putting it up on the style exchange.... It's gorgeous fur, very soft & a mix of warm and cool toned leopard. very unique....(i missed the return window)
