Ask Angie - Sizing in ElieTahari Jacket

Hi Angie,

I have decided I need that ElieTahari Jacket in my life. Your review says it runs narrow and to size up, but my frame is more narrow than average. I am wondering if I still should size up. I am between a 6 and an 8 in jackets. What size do you think could work? Thank you so much!

Not Angie, but I tried it and I'm usually about an 8 for jackets.

I tried it in a 10 and it was NOT too big. I might have even tried a 12(!) but my inner VOR decided I did not need another jacket in MY life, so I just gave up :-\

No idea on sizing Zap but its a lovely jacket and I can you wearing it beautifully;)

Angie also said that sleeves are very slim. I have ordered my size and one size up.

It's so gorgeous IRL! You'll love it - I came very close to buying it. If it helps, I'm usually a 6 in Elie Tahari. All they had in the store for me to try on was a 4 and it was quite small. I think I would have probably needed to size up to an 8, but since I couldn't actually try on either, I can't be certain.

Thank you guys. Yep, Sveta, in my case I would have to order the 6, the 8 and the 10, which would be the size up, yikes.

Zap, I ordered this in an 8, my usual top size. It's just a leetle snug when I button it. I ordered a 10 today to compare.

I am trying it, too. I am having trouble finding in my (possible) size.

I very likely won't keep even if it fits because I suspect it is for my fantasy life. But I want to see.

Zap - this would look amazing on you.

It sounds as if there may be some YLF ET cousins running around here if any of us actually buys it!

Very structured and slim fitting. Especially on the sleeves. I vote size up.

Yes, Suz, I suspect so. I am planning on one higher priced item for this NAS. The DVF dress did not work, alas! It is too short. I'm trying this jacket next.

Would agree with your decision. My usual size in ET is a 6, and both this jacket and skirt run small and narrow! I sized up, and I've ordered one more size up, just to be thorough for the sake of comparison.
