Does anyone have these shoes? The heel is 3 3/4". I bought them but I would like to hear from others if you have found them comfortable. I am thinking maybe they need a half insole in the front. Or should I just give up and get myself some Ash Genials?
Heel height is hard to gauge for me because in the Winter I only seek comfortable shoes but when Spring comes I love high heels.
Any opinions or advice will be appreciated.

3 and 3/4" is pretty high, even in a wedge sneaker. I don't have any Ash shoes, so I don't know about particulars. I'd wear this heel height to the office - because mostly I'd be sitting.

Thanks, Rachy. I am generally OK with high heels most of the year except in Winter when I only want very comfortable shoes with a good grip, so right now I don't know about the heels.
I think I will have to test drive them a little before I decide.

I have the Ash genial and the heel height is much more comfy for me (I tried the Thelma's too!). The toe area got too squished for me at that angle. Rae and cciele have them also!

Thanks, AG. I also ordered (again) the Genials in two sizes. Last time I tried them they were too small so I ordered in two different sizes this time, we will see.
I hope Rae and cciele see my post, too.

I don't know these shoes, so hopefully someone has experience with them. I have this wedge sneaker with a 2.5" heel height: http://www.amazon.com/MIA-Wome.....B0096TKH68

For me they are good for occasions where I'm sitting a fair amount or spending time in a car, not for walking for a full day since although the ankle support, stability, and cushioning is good, my toes tend to get a little cramped up after a few hours - this is because of the front of my feet kind of swelling I think after walking for a long time.

So I think for a higher heel you would kind of need to know your own feet, and if you get any pain in that height in booties or other closed toe/closed ankle/otherwise stable shoes. It may be that if the shoe is really well made or flexes this won't be a problem however.

Thanks, Karymk. The Genials do have a better heel.
Now I have both, the Genials and the Thelmas. The Thelmas are wider so they may be better for a wide foot and the heel of the Genials is very comfortable but the toe box is a bit narrow... They should combine them to make the perfect pair!
So far I think I can manage the Thelmas and I am working on the Genials to see what to do. I got the pretty gold ones.
I need to road test some more.

Zapotee has the Thelmas I think -- but she can manage the heel.

I like the Genials quite a bit -- it's a great, every day height for me.

Good luck figuring out which works. Both styles are great!

I have the gold ones too. You're right, the toe box is narrow on these. I have to wear a good sock or else it abrades a toe.

What socks do you wear with the gold Genials, Karymk? I have been wearing them at home with thin anklets with minimal stitching over the toe because I have a wide foot and if I go with socks that are any thicker they rub my toe. Do you think the Genials stretch a bit over time in the spot that rubs your toe?

I have to say if you have to wear such specific socks, I am not sure these are going to see a lot of use. You may have more tolerance for fussy footwear than I do, but from everything I have heard this sounds like you love the look and are trying to make them work. In my experience, I "get" them to work and then never wear them. Of course, YMMV.

You are right, Thistle. I will make sure that if I keep them they will get a lot of wear. I will hold on to them and test drive them well. If they don't work out they will go back. The good thing is, the return policy is 90 days so I will definitely do my homework well before deciding to keep them.

Sorry for the late response THistle. I just wear a sort of thick ankle sock tht doesn't show. I don't think that area will budge due to the thickness of the rubber.

I have these wedge Ash sneakers and they are fine for me (although I tend to wear heels more than flats most times). The leather is soft on the foot (worn with socks) but after a few hours wear while shopping they can rub a little on the underneath at the front of the foot.

Thanks, Andrea. I think a half insole may be a good idea for the Thelmas, I will try that. I also like heels, just not in the winter.
So far I am keeping both pairs and will decide when it gets a bit warmer.
