So a question for y'all - I saw Mochi posting Mondrian the other day - what art inspires YOU to combine unexpected colors? Please share pictures if you can!

For me today, it's Kunqu, one of the older Chinese opera styles. I went to see a performance yesterday, and even though it was a fairly mediocre troupe, it was inspiring both culturally and aesthetically (musically is another story - I like it, but I don't *get* Chinese music the way I do Western).

ANYWAY. Look at these awesome pictures I stole from the internet of Kunqu costumes. How are those colors NOT inspiring?

Our Lin Chong (character #3) had dark blue trim on his costume, in addition to the turquoise and red, that looked pretty cool - I'm not 100% sure about my own mix, but maybe that's because I'm not an ancient hero.

What are some of your art-inspired outfits?
Will you ever dress to emulate Chinese opera - lol?
