Fed Ex was busy today at my house, since quite a few recent purchases arrived all at once. It's been ages since I've posted photos here, so I'm a bit out of practice, but here you go!

I've been looking for a few shoulder-covering tops to round out my summer wardrobe. Enter two very oversized, somewhat diaphonous but still structured tops from Emerson Fry and two very soft and form-fitting bodysuits from Only Hearts. I am thrilled that all of these are winners.

Two NAS picks also came in today: one is a big yes (the Ray Ban sunglasses) but the other is sadly a no: the Madwell jeans are just too wide in the waist and not, I think, worth having altered. I otherwise liked the feel of these; they would be good for team soft-and-stretchy and straight-up-and-down.

Though I love the Ray Bans and am very happy to have them to replace an old pair of aviators that I broke a couple of weeks ago, the quality is a little more flimsy than I'm used to with this brand: buyer beware.

I wore tons of bodysuits (with leggings and flannel shirts, if memory serves) back in middle school, so it feels right to be returning to them decades on. These are both have a very nice hand feel and seem like a great solution for staying tucked (always a problem for me, since I tend toward waist gaps in the rear of my jeans). I'm slightly worried that the white one in particular will be delicate, and I will have to be gentle with it in the wash, but I think it's worth a try. Shown here with this year's two new blazers (waiting for back-to-office life!).

Of the Emerson Fry tops, I think the shape of the white one is just gorgeous and I know the black will be very useful.

Sadly, my patent-leather Hobbs belt started to disintegrate while I was doing this try-on session, so that goes back on my shopping list.

Thanks for looking/reading!
