Mine arrives today - supposedly . Quite looking forward to seeing what it looks like on me - as you and I have completely different colouring ! Do I need grey jeans now too? Lol.

Nothing new to add, but more compliments on how great the lighter version looks!

Another vote for the lighter one! If the black/grey one had smaller diamonds it could work, but agree with Lisa about the odd look at the shoulders.

So mine arrived today ( lighter version ) and I think I’ll send it back . It’s a lovely , soft sweater but it’s SO pale on me and has no “ oomph” factor , which I think I need . All I could think of was it requiring pale coloured boots for bookending ( I have the just the ones in mind - lol, but am trying NOT to buy them ) , and some kind of silk scarf to create a look out of it . Another instance where I don’t want to spend more money just to create an outfit for one piece . Oh well .

Ah, Lisa, I thought you had some pale boots? How about it under one of your fab jackets? How about a scarf in a great color? The sweater is so neutral it’s almost a false plain and it seems like it would not be too hard to liven it up with your excellent accessories. I thought today of pairing it with a burgundy scarf and burgundy boots, or a teal complement...

I was thinking about the scarf idea today. I haven’t looked yet but I think I have a couple that will work. That would definitely add some oomph to it. I may have to pull out some scarves and jackets and experiment with the sweater a little bit since it’s not quite my usual thing.

My pale boots are just meh - not in love with them anymore . Although I should see if maybe they’ll liven up the sweater and look better than I remember . I think your darker colouring works better with this colour sweater than my pale self - lol. I feel like I’m the same colour as the sweater I’m really trying to only buy things that fill a identified need/ hole , and this doesn’t do what I thought it would . *shrugs*

I know what you mean, Lisa. I wasn’t sure about this lighter color palette, but when I look at my closet, it becomes clear that my only light-colored winter tops are plain solid white or light grey, and not even much of that anymore. So even though it’s not strictly speaking a need or a hole, this does seem to add a little something my wardrobe doesn’t currently have, while still being true to my style and my life.

I did pull out some scarves tonight to see how they look with the sweater. Combined with a couple of my jackets, plus jeans and the right footwear, I think some of these combinations could look nice.

I love both scarves in the first pic ! Those would look fantastic with a black jacket and jeans !

The lighter one, for all the reasons already stated.
I have a lot of scarves and seeing yours with the lighter colored sweater has given me some fresh ideas for wearing my scarves. I'm trying to remember, which ones I have worn lately, and all I can think of is a warm, fuzzy cream colored one worn with a black faux leather jacket trimmed with shearling. However, I never go anywhere to wear others anyway.

Agreed that the black one just hits the viewer in the eye and detracts from your face. I wouldn't have expected this either. Great choice on the light one.
