Well, this isn't one of those whiny posts! I actually had some good luck today
I first went back to exchange my yellow oxfords (that weren't the same colour) for a matching pair. The SA refused to exchange them and kept trying to convince me that they were the same colour! I finally got so mad that I told her to keep the shoes and my money and almost walked out. It was only then that she took out a few other pairs in the same size and helped me find two shoes that matched. Phew! I doubt if I am going to shop there again, but I'm so happy I got my yellow shoes!
The story doesn't end there - as my husband and I walked by the metro station, I saw another pair of oxfords in the window of a shoe shop - they were a gorgeous dusty rose colour and were 50% off from €70! So of course, I HAD to walk in and try them. I wasn't sure if I was going to buy them, but my husband liked them ("they're kind of cool!"). So I got those too!
