Are you noticing 60s-style thick false eyelashes on people?

I have seen this multiple times lately -- starting with the judges for Project Runway and most recently on the young woman who fitted my eyeglasses.

Is this a trend that's coming back? Kind of fun, if so.

Yes. There are lash salons here in Seattle - and a few of my clients have taken the plunge. Apparently they last for 2-3 weeks.

I know that false lashes are always around, but these are the thick-as-bulrushes ones, like the ones on Viva's mod-style thumbnail.

Is that what people are having put on in the lash salons, Angie?

Very similar. Remember that Twiggy is wearing a bus load of eye-liner too.

Yes, tons of eyeliner and thick, frankly-fake lashes.

No doubt I'm past the age for it but I kind of love it.

I have a friend who regularly gets her lashes done. It looks great on her - she rocks the whole bombshell look.

I noticed these on a young woman at a beauty-supply store last week. Really cute on her.
