They're Isabel Marant, so I know they're pricey.

I'm partially inspired by Scarlet's recent foray into hightop sneakers. But also am thinking for our long dreary spring, when sandals are out of the question and I tire of boots.

You should look on ebay. Lots of really great sneaks by adidas slvr, stella mccartney, and more - brand new, comfy, and sparky for sure! I can can send you links if you tell me your size.

Size 10/40. Y-3 is having a great sale right now. But for some insane reason Mr. Yoji doesn't make his more interesting kicks in anything above a 9.5.

I like the neutral version. I don't really know your climate, so can't advise but I do think you could make these look cool even tho I am not a lover of these more casual types of shoes

And just because I know you will appreciate them, I recently got the ones in the pic! Man, they are *metallic* - I got them to wear biking because they'll reflect at night.

I think they are cool, and I have the exact same issue with trying to find some sort of "bridge" shoe between boots and sandals... How high is the heel?

I think they look a bit costumey... you could maybe pull them off, but I think your other shoes are way more fab.

I do like the first Adidas SLVR ones that IK posted a lot - I LOVE the brand's outerwear... so oh so cool, even though I can't justify a purchase because everything is black.

Are they worth tracking down? i think that is a very personal individual question. For me, I know if they are worth tracking down if I constantly think about them, continually go and look at them online. If I am distracted by other options or look at lots of other things and consider them viable options, then no they are not worth tracking down.

I actually really love those Isabel Marants--when I was contemplating buying high tops I went searching on the web to find out if I had lost my mind in thinking they were cool and found those IM ones. They do look a little odd on their own but when shown on people in outfits they are really cute. If they had been in my price range and available I would have seriously considered it. On the other hand the heel combined with the casual look would have been problematic for my lifestyle if they were not highly walkable. I am satisfied with mine, although finding a pair in soft colors would be pretty cool.
