Are these ugly? - YouLookFab Forum

Tomorrow is the beginning of sales. I saw these on thursday, didn't try them on though. They are not leather, but I have plenty of leather shoes and I'm not even sure I can do this style, so I'm ok with spending a smaller amount on a PVC thong sandal as long as it's comfortable enough -for the first time in years I can say I have a set of three pairs of comfortable sandals that are actually nice looking. I wanted to go for a metallic sandal -edit, I wanted to go for a black sandal but I don't like the assortment and think they look too gearish or granny like- for non-warm colored outfits.

I'd like them in bronze. I like the fact that the sole is soft, since most sandals in this style tend to have hard soles, which my feet can't do. At all.

I also have spotted a wooden wedge pair of sandals in a sort of beige-greyish color that is completely different to what I own, and I hope I can find them tomorrow at a lower place though they were not expensive, 29 euros and all leather, and VERY comfy, but I have too many shoes already so I felt a bit guilty buying them at full price lol).

Not ugly at all. The gold metallic and simple design are beautiful. I also love the sound of those wooden wedge sandals, go snap them up today;-)

Lemonade these are very nice sandals. Simple styling and should work well with jeans or skirts.

These sandals are not ugly, however, I find that the thick ankle strap is not always flattering - especially with skirts and capris. It can shorten the look of one's leg and make one's ankles look thick as well.

Good luck with your shoe shopping and really, who decides how many shoes are too many?

No, they're gorgeous! The metallic will continue your leg line more than the black will. This is exactly the type of footbed I look for in a sandal. I need that little bit of padding too. And since it's synthetic, it will be easy to wipe clean. There will be so much air circulation with this style that I doubt your feet will get that sweaty anyway. And it's about as far from a granny sandal as you can get. I would definitely try them!

Thank you everyone, my friend didn't like them when we visited the shop so that's what kept me from trying them on. For some reason I care too much about my friend's tastes when I do not even like their styles, which is really not very logical, but oh wel. I'm definitely trying these on tomorrow, if I can find them in my size!

PS: I have pretty long and lean legs with skinny ankles, so I don't mind them looking a bit shorter or wider

I think they are quite simple and polished! I like them a lot. (Personally I couldn't wear them because I'm way too ticklish between the toes, so you wear them for me!)

Not ugly at all. I do find that with very bare sandals like these it does depend on your foot shape. This style looks terrible on my foot because my foot is flat and you can really tell that with a very bare style with no side support.

Girls, an update here. I found them in my size and veeery cheap, but they weren't worthy of my pretty complicated feet Too uncomfy and plastic-like-feeling!!
