Still In? Drape Track Pant. - YouLookFab Forum

Hi Ladies,

I tried these on today and really liked them. They are a drapey track pant in black with the white tuxedo stripe. It's not a look I have seen around here (ie. where I live). I didn't buy them because I started to question if this look is 'out', tho as I consider it further, I think it may be that they just haven't yet been 'in' here

They fit really nicely and felt lovely and cool to wear. I am considering them for casual wear rather than work (although I think they could cross over) and see them with a draped tee or a semi tucked tee. Our weather is just warming up and I have most of January off work and will need some comfortable but still nice looking pieces for what is a pretty casual period for me.

I would appreciate your opinions on these.

I've seen them in the stores and I have been tempted by how comfortable they look. But I have yet to see a single person on the street wearing them.

I agonized over this style of pants! I love them in theory -- they are comfortable, they travel well, they look great. When I finally found the right size, I wore them around the house fully styled (but with tags on) for a half day and then realized they just did not feel like me. So back they went.
Ultimately, I completely understand the appeal of them but found them just not in keeping with my own style. If I saw you wearing them I would probably notice and love them on you.

The Net-A-Porter site has them so that says to me that they are still going strong with the fashion pack. Also Angie said so we know it's true.
I can see these fitting in your wardrobe so nicely.

I have a pair of similar silk pants that were gifted to me and I haven't worn them more than a few times. I am keeping because I still think they may become a more common look where I live. Reminds me I need to try styling them again.

I hope so, because I am still trying to get my monies worth out of the black silk track pants I purchased this spring! They are comfortable, but a tad bit hard for me to style. With your artistic flare, I don't think you would have that problem!

Deborah, my personal opinion is that if these pants feel like "you" and really make you feel great inside, then it doesn't matter if no one else is wearing them. :^) Go for it!

Hmmm- I feel you would need very precise and cool styling with these so as not to look as though you threw-on some Trackie-Dacs Deborah.
If anyone could wear these stylishly around our neck of the woods it would be you though!
Definitely not to be worn with flat shoes or cons.

I like them, and have tried them but as I was unable to find a pair that fit right, haven't bought any yet. If you find some that fit & flatter -- I say go for it! A great Spring wardrobe item, I would wear them right now and then again in your fall. Most of them are made with lighter fabric, so I'm unsure if they work for winter.

Denise, these are definitely for Spring and not too hot summer. They are much too lightweight for winter.
