Are these shoes ugly?

I can't decide if my judgement was clouded by comfort.
I like the versatility of the snakeskin pattern, and it is low-contrast against my skin. I don't like showing all of my toes, which these don't. I just can't decide if these are in good taste. The sole is actually flexible and shock absorbent, so they are easily 8 hour+ shoes. If they don't get the big thumbs down, I will try to test them out in some outfits.

I like them! I'm enjoying clogs at the moment, and these look like a summery version. I'd like to see what they look like on your feet.

Hard to tell without seeing them in an outfit.

I think these will probably work under bootcuts, and possibly with skinnies. The high vamp gives me pause about working with skirts......

Care to post with outfits or is that too much work?

Not voting because I think I'd LIKE them with flares, but NOT with dresses or shorts or where your lower leg is showing in the shoes. . . so I'd vote a qualified 'yes' if I could.

I totally understand wanting more foot coverage (my feet are NOT pretty), and there is always a place in my closet for funky, comfortable shoes

Scarlet, the sandal with the very high vamp is a style of shoe I have never liked, so I am going to vote with the majority here. Having said that, if they are something you anticipate wearing with PPL pants, it totally wouldn't matter because you wouldn't see how high the vamp is.

I think they are fabulous! I am not sure if they are your style, though. Are you looking for a dressy pair? These look very dressy to me and would be hard to dress down.

Unfortunately, they're close but not quite there for me. I would want to see the heel more tapered (like the pair Anna linked which I really love), no center seam, and a smaller peep-toe opening (the high vamp doesn't bother me too much). However, I think my opinion could change depending on how they look on your feet, but in lieu of seeing a photo of them on I must vote yay :\

I think they're pretty cute! With the nailheads and chunky heel, they feel funky and casual to me.

I vote keep!!! Looks like a 100x better alternative to flip-flops for casual wear around town, especially if the comfort level is high.
I bet they will look good with everything too as a neutral sandal and also add a little bit of texture.

I'm shoe impared but would say that there is very litle you can do with these in terms of outfits.
I'll vote for yay because I don't think they do you justice.

Thanks for the helpful feedback everyone. I think it was also the high vamps that were giving me pause because ideally I would like to wear these with shorts and dresses as well as jeans. There are other styles available from this brand that I could consider instead.

I like them! I can easlily see them with a long pair of jeans. And they look comfy. Wear what you like - don't let others tell you what you should find attractive/unattractive - it's called personal choice!

I am digging them (I loooove snakeskin!), but I too would love to see them paired with some looks. I like several of the pairs you've linked to as well (e.g., the Marina sandal in snakeskin, the Astrid, and the Candy).

Special thanks to Joney and Rae--I like seeing what you picked out from these styles. I bought mine in a shop, so they didn't have all of these. The shop is the first place I have seen here selling Fidjis, so that is pretty exciting too!

Suzanne - I appreciate the sentiment. In this case I am having trouble figuring out what I like somehow. Usually I am sure.
