Are these shoes frumpy or no?

In the taupe python? I had a pair that looked like this once and I was able to walk all over London in them.

No. In basic black they could be a bit questionable ,but in the python they look elegant.

But in black I fell asleep just looking at them.

My hair is kind of the taupe color so I am hoping it would be a good bookend. If it frizzes I'll be matching texture, also.
