Are these sandals dated or retro tastic?

I need some comfy (but funky) sandals with heels - because I'm only 5ft 5" and I don't like flats.

These appealed to me as I have a love for Retro/vintage clothing etc. They are from Clark's and they're as comfortable as slippers but I can't decide whether they look like 'old lady' shoes but not in a good way.

Opinions required please.

Those don't look like Clarks at all! (Or what I think of when I think of Clarks) The perforated leather is very sporty looking and fresh. Buy!

I vote Yay with a big * ! * and they remind me a lot of the cute shoes shown in Angie's "culotte" post.

I'm on the fence as the overall shoe looks current enough, but the bone color and perforated leather sends warning bells off. I've seen many similar styles out this season and know the comfort factor on Clarks so that could outweigh my own personal connotations with the perforations.

I like the shape and style, but perforated leather in that particular color always reminds me of band-aids. Sorry... Would love them if they were some other color.

Perforated leather is something I associate with sport and comfort shoes. I know that's not true any more, but that's what's throwing me off. Otherwise, they are adorable.

The platform and heel make the shoe totally modern and fashionable, and the white color too. And I see lots of weaved leather this year so I don't think the perforations feel frumpy at all! Go for it. I love Clarks

I would say it depends on what you wear with them. They seem to be nice nude shoes and when I was in the shoe store yesterday I saw loads of shoes in this style. So go ahead and play with them!

Love them! But then I bought an "old lady" jacket today lol. Seriously I think you will rock these, nothing could look "old lady" on you. These are definitely retro-tastic.
