Are these pants long enough?

I took my lovely self shopping after a swim today, frizzy hair and all. I may not have looked so great, but after an hour in the chlorine, at least I know I was clean!

I didn’t find any bags I’m interested in, but I did come across an item on my wish list—patterned winter pants—on sale. They could be let out about a centimeter, but that’s it. They are 100% cotton—good thing I don’t use a dryer!

Great pants! The length looks perfectly fine to me ( and I tend to be picky when it comes to lengths), as they cover your ankle. They would look great with flat oxfords/booties.

The length looks good to me, especially since you wear mostly flats I think ... I also think lengths are so varied now, that we probably have a lot of latitude around it

Helena, yes, i wear pretty much all flats—although winter boots described as “flat” might have a 2” heel, as my red ones do.

Jonesy, right now I only have one pair of shoes in my winter footwear stable. They’re navy, so they won’t be an automatic match for the pants (although I plan to pair them sometimes).

The finds are my current winter footwear that I think can go with the pants. I also plan to get flat riding boots, brown but maybe with black in them too, brown or black ankle boots and maybe some sturdy Oxfords (I’m thinking of a light color, like blush pink, but am not sure). I just realized that you can see the tights I’ve tucked my top into in these pix. I don’t plan to have that be part of my look, lol (although I guess it’s useful in showing how low-cut they are).

Fabulous! GREAT fit. The false plain will work well in your wardrobe too.

The length should be dead right with booties and oxfords.

Angie, then I’m glad I snapped them up for 30€. “False plain” is a phrase I learned here; I’ve been thinking I wanted winter pants in a false plain, possibly in a menswear pattern, so when I came across these, I was ready. Three cheers for prepared emotional shopping!

Length looks lovely, though the front rise looks low in the first picture. Perhaps it's just the angle. Nice find!

JenniNZ, I’m having a hard time telling myself I have to put them away until winter.

Notsaf, the rise is a bit low in front (the fabric is used up covering my tummy). I’m not sure if that makes them out of date (because waists have gone up) or a little ahead (because they’re coming down) but I think (hope!) they’re classic enough that I can weather the trends with them.

The length looks great for wearing with flats - your perception on half breaks on trousers might be swayed if you're used to seeing a lot of ankle length & cuffed trousers instead at retail.

As for the rise, how does it feel with a belt? You might want to play around with different tops to see if the difference in the front & back rise works with your current closet (I suspect it will), as well as when sitting down.
