Are these hideous?

I'm on holiday at the moment and we've done loads of walking and I've ended up with terrible lower back ache. I grabbed these yesterday in the hopes that they'd help the back pain (I have flip flops with similar technology soles which I've worn today and no backache)

I think comfort beats style in some cases, especially on holiday. They look pretty basic, so if they are comfortable and let you walk all day, then they seem a good thing to me.

They're cool shoes... so long as you don't wear them with baggy khakis that stop at the top of the shoe.

I think these are fine, Louise, and you absolutely need footwear now that will avoid more back issues (so annoying, I've been dealing with this too lately) and that will allow you to enjoy your holiday to the fullest. So this is a good purchase in my book.
