Are these Dansko sandals still wearable?

Are they still workable for casual summer outfits, or are they totally dated? They're insanely comfortable.

Keep. They don't really "date" and are cuter than many sandals I saw in the local shoe store today. I really like them for summer casual.

Hmm, I have a similar pair (Sara) in the same color and I've been going back and forth about keeping them, so I'm keeping an eye on this thread.

Diana, they're tricky, aren't they? I'm not sure they fit my aspirational style, but I haven't found any wearable sandals at all this year, so they may have to stay for now at the very least. They are SO comfortable.

I'm actually surprised all the feedback has been positive so far! I hope naysayers will also chime in (if there are any).

I like them a lot! They do not look dated to me. I think your question may reflect your style aspiration more than any datedness of this sandal. Personally I have been trying to move away from more rounded toes to a little more taper, or I would wear it myself. But that's just me--and it may be you, or where you're headed as well. Round toes and a certain amount of stylish clunkiness have their classic appeal, though; just look at all the Doc Martins you see on this forum.

Ok - in the interests of balance I think these sandals are unflattering to all legs. On a fine ankle they look like concrete boots and on chunky lower legs they add to the whole chunky effect. They are a no from me. Adriane did you want us to tell you its OK to ditch them really?

I hope I'm not to frank when I say this... but, I think they look cute on girls, teens and perhaps young women. But on middle age women, or potentially even women in their 30s, I think they look like you've given up, style-wise.

ETA -- I feel a bit of a fraud for saying this, as I wear clogs every day for work! Maybe because they are part of a uniform, so may be a poison eye thing going on here.

I just bought Dansko sandals for the summer and I love them! Mine have no back strap, just two straps across the foot. They make my legs look a little thinner (not a good thing) but the comfort factor outweighs that. Having only two straps reduces the clunky look in my opinion. I think yours are fine but you might want to check out this year's models.

I think it has to do with proportion. On some feet/ legs they would be too clunky; on others not at all.

I have clients who wear these sandals because they HAVE TO. They have wide feet and need arch support - and it's hard to find sandals with arch support.

To my eye, these sandals can look stylish at any age when you incorporate them into a Modern Bohemian style.

I have a similar pair. I think they work as long as you keep the rest of the outfit modern and less cutesy. I vote keep! Comfortable sandals are priceless!

ETA: Keep your eye out for another pair of sandals that are comfortable AND meet your aspirational style!
