Are these boots cute enough?

I think they are cute, but I'm not sure if they are enough of an upgrade from my UGGs to make it worth the purchase. They still look a little "gear-ish" to me because of the synthetic leather uppers. I mean if I'm going to be wearing gear footwear for the cold weather, I may as well wear my comfy UGGS. Or no? Are these still a ton better?

Thank you for asking the question. I bought some that are very similar to these only with a wedge heel to wear in the snow casually.

Waaaaay better than Uggs. I think the lug sole looks like it would give more traction, too.

Strictly between you and me, I like Uggs. They only bugged me when they were so trendy that girls in LA wore them with mini-skirts in 90 degree weather. That made no sense. I see a lot of stylish Europeans sporting Uggs. Just saying. I hope I am not giving anyone an apoplexy.

Cilleena, these don't have a sheepskin lining (its a synthetic), so I worry that they won't be anywhere near as warm as Ugg's.

As someone who hates cold feet, I think Ugg's are appropriate gear when it's very very cold outside......

Can't speak for absence of a lugged sole though, these may be better on snow. I bet alaskagirl will know!

I don't actually wear the Uggs IN the snow. Just in the car and running errands. I have clunky snow boots for wearing in the snow. I am from the south, living where it is very, very cold now and I have issues with my extremities getting cold.
Up until I tried uggs this year, my feet were ALWAYS cold in the winter. I can barely stand to take them off when it drops below 30 degrees. I do wish they didn't look and well, feel so "slipperish". That and I just get tired of wearing the same shoes everyday. I'd love some as warm, but more real shoe feeling and cute.
