1) I have had this gray wool jacket for many years, I still like the classic shape, it's a little shorter than I would like, what do you think? ps the p

2)This is from behind and I have the belt twisted, that probably doesn't help the look!
3) With a scarf.

4) This is a Ralph Lauren cardigan, I'm actually wearing it today. I really like the color and the feel of it. I saw Diane Lane wear this same cardi in a movie awhile back, that was a little reaffirming!

I like them both. I see no reason to let go yet. The only thing that I would say is a tad dated about the jacket is the length. Nowadays, that style jacket is usually mid thigh or longer.

I like the jacket! But is it a little big on you? How about changing out the self belt for a leather belt? That would freshen it up quite a bit. Love the contrast of the red scarf.

I posted about the cardi on your other thread. I think it's pretty, and you could also put the belt over it for a different kind of look!

Just missed your post Maryk. I have tried this sweater with the belt over, but it kind of bunches up. I should post another picture for you to take a look! Maybe the gray jacket is too big as well as too short!

Both look good to me. The jacket is a bit short, but I think that just means that when you find the perfect replacement it will be easier to let it go. In the meantime you can enjoy what you have and keep an eye out (without frantically searching) for something better.

The jacket looks a little big to me - is it supposed to be like an overcoat type of jacket? If so, it's probably OK - otherwise, I'd probably get rid of that one. LOVE the cardi!

I really like the cardigan--it looks snuggly but luxe. The jacket sort of has an identity crisis: it's not quite long or short, and not quite fitted or deliberately loose and oversized. I agree about trying another belt, or using it as outerwear (with a sweater underneath, as you are wandering through the woods this fall :).

Love the cardi. The jacket looks nice, a bit safari esque, but it does look too big across the shoulder blade area x

If #1 is outerwear, then I think it has personality. If it is inside wear, I think it is too big.

#2 is classic & great - I commented in your other WIW thread.

I ditto MNsara, If the first one is strictly outerwear it will be great for layering sweaters under.

I love love the cardigan. In regards to #1, it's a little large and I think it might work better UNbelted. If you're into the military/hardware look you could probably spice the coat up a bit by adding some hardware to the 2 pocket flaps on the bottom half and/or the sleeve cuffs to draw the eye away from the shoulders.

A little late here but I agree with others jacket #1 is not dated but too big on tiny you. The second cardigan is fab a keeper for sure. I love both your oxfords and your cognac boots.

Lisa-you are so sweet, no one has called me tiny before. I think I will cut and paste that and put it somewhere so I will remember.
