Are oversized denim jackets a thing?

This is music to my ears! My best friend gave me a great Gap jean jacket a few years ago that has always been too boxy and big on me, and I couldn't wear it... what luck that this is the style that is back right now! It is 80s big--big on the shoulders and boxy, a bit cropped... Not sure how to wear it though...

I'm personally hoping the oversized trend doesn't stick around for long. I have a hard enough time getting clothing to fit me right without altering. The second it becomes" oversized" in terms of sizing it means there's not a snowball's chance in hell it's gonna fit me in a way that looks anything less than ridiculous on my petite frame.

...and OMG, paper bag jeans! I frikkin loved those in the 80's/early 90's!

I like the oversized look in jackets. I do prefer them combined with sleek pieces. To me this would be great over a black fitted summer sheath dress. I like the oversized denim trend. What I'd really like personally is a long oversized moto jacket that could go over everything. But this is a great warm weather option!!

After looking at it several times since yesterday, I've realized I really like it. I'm petite, but think it could work if the rest of the pieces are slim and the jacket isn't too oversized. One of the things I like most about it is the length. I'm tired of jackets that are cropped at the waist.
