My cobalt maxi skirt has a very high happiness factor and I'm definitely planning on wearing it this summer. But I don't know about the trend line.

They seem to have been around forever:) I think they can be tricky to wear but I have seen some ladies really work them.

I want a maxi dress or skirt for next summer. I don't think it will be very flattering on me (petite wearing flats), but I just like the look. Not sure about trendiness.

I am tall, but still don't love maxi dresses or skirts, except for the beach/pool. I just feel kind of too casual in them, even though the long length says dressy to me! Aack!

I really hope they are not trending because IMO they just aren't very flattering on most people - unless you're headed to the pool or the beach - or, to a black tie event! Otherwise, to me, they are extremely "frumpalizing!"

In my opinion - yes! I think they're very much still in. As a pear-shaped petite, I find the right maxi dress very flattering, but I'm not as keen on maxi skirts. have yet to work out how to style/fit those on my body.
