Are furry vests going to be in this fall or are they passe?

I have a black sleeker fur one, but I came across this grey lamb one on a sample sale site in my size.

Yay - yes, they're still revelant
Nay- they've had the moment and are waning.

Don't know, but haven't seen many of them in stores. All they do for me is add unwanted pounds, so I pass. Love them otherwise, though. If you like them, wear them! I don't think it should matter if they're totally up-to-date or not, as long as they're not from a decade or 2 ago.

Not sure either, but as of right now I do plan to wear mine in the fall. Actually, if our weather remains cool for the foreseeable future, I'll probably start wearing my cropped one again right now.

I don't know but I'm kinda glad I ended up not getting any faux fur. I was wondering the same question. I have a faux shearling vest that I find kind of hard to style.

I never warmed to fur vests in the first place, but I plan to continue wearing my faux shearling jacket regardless of the new trends. To me, it depends on how much you love it... enough to rock it even if fashion moves on? FWIW, the lambswool does not look like the ubiquitous fur vest that was everywhere this winter.

I love mine and don't care if they're out or in, mine are soft soft soft and I am wearing them because they make me happy!

I suppose because we are a little behind most of you, I am seeing them everywhere in our stores. Vests, jackets etc. And I have recently bought one and am loving wearing it. I guess the real questions are; do YOU like them, do YOU want to wear them this season and does the look work with your overal style at the moment?? I guess if it's important for you to be 'on trend' then that's another consideration but I say wear what you want:)

I bought one and wore it once. It sat in the closet unloved for months and then moved to a new life via Value Village. Not sure if they will be back but my impression is that the faux fur may be a shorter duration trend.

I thought I saw them in NYFW a/w 2012 but worn differently. I was seeing them worn outside coats instead of tees and blouses. I saved these pictures from Angie's coverage, sorry I didn't note who the designer was.

YAY!!!

i wore my blue fox vest this winter over my black leather bomber jacket. i also wore them over sweaters, long sleeved dresses, basically anything it would fit over. will wear over most of my jackets this winter including over tweed. also prob with skirts and dress up pants more than jeans.

i think fur goes with the '80s aesthetic we have now, but the silhouette is more fitted or more city luxe than boho. i'm looking for an affordable fur stole as in cocolion's first photo--in burgundy!!!

They were all over the place in the street style shots at NY fashion week this spring, and there was lots of fur on the fall RTW runways (as Denise points out), so I would tend to think that they will be sticking around for a bit.

I hope they're sticking around a bit too, because even though mine didn't get a ton of wear, I did enjoy it on the occasions I did wear it. I think theyre just not in the stores because it's out of season (at least in this hemisphere) now, and everything is still spring/summer.
