Are any of these boots different enough?

I am looking for tall brown boots to add to my collection (as Angie suggested). I already own these Clarks boots - going on their 5th year (#1).
As Kyle advised I am considering cognac boots at NAS. Here are the three candidates: #2-4. What I am not sure is if any of those are different enough from my current pair to warrant purchase. The color of my old boots looks a bit lighter than those but still in the same family I think. Does any of them look significantly different in style to you to provide me more options?
#5 is a different color but pretty close in style - does it look much different?
Or maybe I am better to stick with something like #6 - completely different brown color and style?
Oh, why boot shopping is so complicated!!!

I really love#3.! I think they all look significantly different than your current pair, and I wouldn't hesitate buying a new pair if they meet all your fashion/comfort criteria!

It seems like you could wear boots most of the year where you live. I would buy another pair if the old ones are wearing out. I love 2-5, I find dark brown like in 6 difficult to style.

If you decide to go with cognac I think you will find they bring a different dimension and richness to your outfits. I think the warmth will be very complementary to your coloring. I love cognac with black, denim, teal, purple, etc. I wish I could wear my cognac boots more! Do any of these speak to you?

I like 3 and 6. 3 is diferent, more caramel, a very versatile color!

I like #4 the best. To me, they look like they are taller boots than the ones that you already own - and I really like the detail on them! My least favorites are #6 (I don't like the color) and # 3 (I don't like the heel.)

I quite like the wedge heel design of three. I think the color of 6 would be very versatile for you, but I am concerned about those thin soles and Canadian winters. Maybe look for dark brown with a lug sole. Try Timberland--they have been doing interesting fashion boots for women the last couple of years. Because you have long legs, you could carry off a very high shaft boot like 2 and 4 appear to be. Just be sure that those buckles wouldn't be catching the hems of your skirt.

My vote is for #4, second #2. I think the cognac will be fantabulous!

2 or 4 for me. 3 is nice but the leather covers the wedge, which means it will get dirty and ugly so so so fast!

I really like 2 and 4. The details at the top of the boot are very interesting and the different length would look fun.

I like all of 2-5. I think 3 is most different from your current pair in that it's sleeker and wedge heel. I really like 2 and 5 the best.

I like 2, 4 and 5 for styles. It sounds like you may need replacement pair for your favorite cognacs before they wear out too much more. Better to have a couple in rotation and then still wear the older boots before they are completely worn out.

I like the color of 6 and the idea of that style but not how thin-soled it is. Something similar to it with a heavier sole and heel would be better (especially in Canada). I have a pair of dark brown knee boots (that I can't wear this past year b/c I have gained weight) that I wore more often than my black pair. I found it to be a very versatile color -- looks good with blacks, greys and navy too, among brighter colors.

Kyle, I don't worry about which colors to wear with cognac boots if I get them: for me it would be almost everything. However this little annoying voice in my head asks me: you already have ALMOST cognac casual boots now - how much more versatility will you gain with adding another?
#3 and 6 look dressier to me but I really like the style of #2 and 4.
Scarlet, I would wear these boots in the fall and spring mostly. Our winter is so snowy that I usually have to wear snow boot from December until March and change into shoes indoors.

I have ordered all of them anyway so I will have a good chance to compare them in the store. I am going to take my old boots with me to the store so I can see IRL how different they are.

Sveta, you have a lot of great options here, and I think you will end up with the boots that fit your calves and height, so I won't weigh in too much on specifics. FYI, #5 was too wide at the top even for me, Ms. Wide Calves, so I'm thinking that they may not work for you. Good luck!

I love 2 and 4 because they have a little extra interest in the buckled detailing. Your current pair is very simple, so I'd go for a slightly embellished version.

Sarah, you are right, I will go for what fits but in case more than one pair fits (one can hope, right?) I would like to have some plan in my head as I do not wnat to drive over the border yet again to return them!

Sveta, I tried #3 on at the store. I was very impressed for a $70 boot, thought it was very pretty and fit nicely. The leather wedge wouldn't last for me with driving though (the heels take a beating in my car).

I also tried #5 and it was nicely roomy in the calf and I had sarah's gap at the top problem, but my calves are pretty short, so with your longer legs, it just might end at your sweet spot They were awfully comfortable.

So let fit guide you and go for the true warmth of cognac.

Good luck with your boot search! Fit is the number one factor in my book, so I will also wait and see which fit you first and foremost. (I am suffering from a desire to boot duplicate also by the way!)

Oh, Sara has a good point. I'm about half your height (!), so who knows how they will fit on you. Boots are SOO difficult, aren't they.

Lucky me, I've seen all of these in person already. I vote #2 or #4 for you.

#3 is only ok, but the style reminds me a bit of the UGG one's you picked up last year during NAS. And the material is a bit thin, I don't think they will last inthe long run. #5 is a bit on the gray side and rather equestrian in style, I'm not sure that will work for your style. I think #6 is too dark and anytime you would reach for #6 you could wear a black pair instead.

In general, all of these are darker in person than the online photo (and I think #2 or #4 will bookend your hair nicely and be the most versatile). Also they are darker than your current Clark pair.

I do think there is enough of a difference, but take your boots with you and put them next to one another. Also after 5 years, I think you can justify an update if that's what you want to do.

Lisa, thanks, it is good to know. I am glad they all darker IRL - it will make it easier for me. I don't think these boots look similar to UGGs ones ( I returned them anyway last year as I decided that suede is not right for me.)
