Shouting out, this ensemble reminds me of some of approprio's cool outfits and silhouettes. Or if it's not, it could be fun for outfit lab as to what makes what tick.

One of the things I like about this ensemble is the slightly sporty element. That might not be the right word, but it has to do with my usually thinking of avant-garde as much more formal or unapproachable or impractical for some reason--not sure why--whereas this looks like one could do things while wearing it..

I might try something like "easy avant-garde-lite." Perhaps with my existing culottes and a boxy top. I say light because I think I require somewhat reined-in volumes to not be overwhelmed, but can make use of the general silhouette as being interestingly different from usual tailored fits. And similarly for the footwear--e.g. I have "semi-creepers" that are not as pronounced as real full-on ones, but still different from standard loafers.
