Wow, you've really been tormented by fire this summer. I'm so sorry!
I hope this all resolves as quickly and painlessly as possible and that your insurance, the apartment manager and all the other entities step up and do their jobs. What a life event to experience!

I'm so sorry to hear this. We have good friends who experienced homelessness for probably a year and a half after their apartment suffered a fire. They owned the apartment, and had to do a complete renovation, so they had no choice. It was truly traumatic; almost all their possessions were gone, too, but the three and their dog were safe, things eventually got fixed, and they finally moved back into a much more beautiful, gorgeous space. So I know you can overcome this. Sending healing, soothing vibes in the meantime.

I just saw this; am so glad you are physically safe. No doubt the mental/emotional trauma will pop up unexpectedly in the months and years to come. I hope you will let your and Kiddo's teachers know about your recent trauma and displacement.

I am so sorry!! This is horrible... I'm glad you are okay!

So sorry this awful fire happened to you. Go slowly and allow others to help. I hope that you will have a home again soon.

That's horribly scary, chewy. Glad to hear your family & cats are unharmed. I hope you can salvage some things and can find a new apartment soon.

That's so scary. I'm sorry this happened but glad you all are safe. I hope everything works out a day at a time. Lots of love and strength.

Oh no, Khris! I'm so sorry! I'm glad you are ok though. I have two friends who have been through this, and it's such a huge loss and upheaval. I hope you're able to salvage your most meaningful belongings and things are sorted out and fixed quickly.

Oh no! I'm glad there were no injuries or people/pets lost. It's a terrible trauma to lose the security of your home. The house across the street from me burned completely to the ground 16 months ago and my dear friend and neighbor is still trying to cope with the aftermath. Her positive attitude and flexibility have helped. It sounds like you will be able to salvage some items. I hope you find your most sentimental belongings undamaged by fire, smoke or water.

Chris, I just noticed this now as I have been travelling. I'm so sorry that you are dealing with this -- and so relieved that you, family, and pets are all okay. What an awful situation, though. My thoughts will be with you in this horribly unsettled time.
