ETA - these Zella joggers work for me [Anyone who has tried Tommy John loungewear?]

I see a few items in the NAS preview by Tommy John. The jogger, plus I saw a tee and short pjs. Does anyone have experience with this brand for “clothing”? The joggers have a large percentage listed as acrylic. I’m tempted to consider. I would prefer lightweight and very soft.

I have their colorblocked jogger which fits differently from the usual one. I find if very comfortable but for me it is for cooler weather when I no longer rely on cotton fabrics for lounging sleeping --also ok in chilly a/c for me.

Unfrumped - so it’s too hot for you in warm weather? That’s probably a deal killer for me, as I am wanting it for hot summer months.

Well--I have worn mine a few times some this summer at night in a/c--maybe a cloudy day, or just not running so hot. If we tended to set our a/c much colder I could wear them more. But we do not.
But yes, I do not see this as a typical hot weather item at all. For that I wear cotton knit or woven, rayon woven, linen blends --also ok for some polyester when it is like a cotton-poly woven blend as sometimes for less wrinkling. Also, these are sort of loose but more drapey and stretchy, and have the knit cuff, so they are not typical warm-weather air-circulating style.

I have a couple pair of the Tommy John Joggers and really like them. The fabric is very soft and drapes nicely. I wear them all year around but I’m in Seattle and it doesn’t get that hot normally. If I lived somewhere hot - I would likely not wear in the summer.

Unfrumped - I am with you in that I tend to stick to cotton or rayon for hot weather. I like linen in theory, but often find it a little rough on my skin. And yes, woven linen is much softer to me than a knit linen.

Cherylm- thanks for the feedback too. We have months of over 100 degree day, and I will look elsewhere. It’s good to have some info, as I want to minimize returns as much as possible this NAS.

Angie - your find isn’t currently coming up to the item. I’m considering my options. I want knit, soft, lightweight without being too show everything. I’d prefer a darker color. I’m thinking they’d have this in a darker color way? Also, I’m considering this from Athleta. Maybe in navy. In a tall.

Angie - looked up the activewear for the sale and see them there. Cotton. Comes in black. But to my excitement, also contains a back pocket. A good choice for me. May be a bit short, but I’m fine with ankle length. I think this could really suit my needs. The Athleta are nylon, and all things being equal, I’d prefer a cotton fabric.

Angie - thanks for the reco. I got the Zella joggers today. In black. They are substantial cotton, but shouldn’t be overly hot. I won’t wear them in the highest heat, but for PT early in the morning they should work. Comfortable. High waisted, but I’m ok with that. Ankle length. I got the larger of the sizes I’m between to make them suitably slouchy.

They were out of stock, but pop up regularly if you stalk a bit.
