Anyone watching the latest season of Project Runway?

I’m settling in to watch the most recent episode, and I inadvertently caught a spoiler yesterday, but this is an exciting season for my dual hometowns, as Christian Siriano (from Annapolis) is the new Tim Gunn, and Bishme Cromartie is representing Baltimore!

Who else is following this season? What are your impressions?

I am.
They like/love Hester’s creations; me, many of them, not so much.
I often prefer other garments to the winning one. Same in reverse for who gets eliminated.
Sometimes they eliminate based in execution and sometimes for concept; I can’t predict.
Occasionally I think two of them should be eliminated and rarely none of them.
Christian’s advice is usually (always?) spot on.
I loved this episode.
What are your thoughts?

I’m not much of a fan of Hester’s work either — while I can appreciate her creativity, sometimes I just feel like her taste is lacking.

I often don’t agree with the winning looks (I usually manage to pick one of the top three but choose a winner the judges don’t), but I almost always agree with who gets eliminated. I was sorry to see Venny go this week though — he seems like such a sweetheart.

It’s fun to see Christian in this new role! He’s a good mentor.

And I’m happy whenever they go to Mood and I see Swatch is still there.

I have seen the first three or four, and was a.) glad of the return to Bravo from Lifetime, which can only be good, and b.) sorry to hear that Heidi and Tim would no longer be part of it, but c.) delighted to know that Christian would be the new Tim. Anyone who watched "Christian's season" will remember him. "Fierce."

I have not personally been to Mood, but DS has. I'll ask him if he saw Swatch.

I went to the one in Los Angeles-it was fun. I found some tassels for almost free, but, on the other hand, I couldn't find what I wanted, which surprised me.

I have been watching. I think Hester and others are still around only because they are controversial . I feel the contestants frustration in not knowing what the judges are looking for.

I was a loyal fan for all the past seasons but haven't been able to make myself watch this new season yet. I can't imagine it without Tim Gunn!
