I don't know about that particular boot, but I have 8 inch ankles (7.5 in. above my ankle bone) and just received these boots today. There is just a tiny bit of room around my ankles...but no flower pot effect!

I have tried them on last year AJ and did not like how they fitted my feet. There seemed to be too much of extra material - and my feet are high volume and ankles are not skinny at all.
