Anyone here a fan of V-neck sweaters ?

I love them as a simple layering piece ( mostly over crewneck tees or skinny rib turtlenecks ) and find they have a touch of sophistication as well as being comfy casual wear.

If you're a fan as well, how do you prefer to style them ?

In warmer weather, I wear them over a layering cami. In cooler weather, I have worn them under a topper like a blazer or denim jacket. I still like v-neck sweaters a lot, even if they aren't the latest look.

Yes I love them. I have no unique way of wearing them. I do like scarves and necklaces, and I do wear them over a tee when it’s chilly.

I don’t like it when they are cut too low.

A warning: I’ve had to treat that V of skin with chemotherapy cream, so don’t forget the sunscreen there.

Unless it is a high, shallow V, I don‘t wear V-necks, because a crew neck or turtleneck looks better on my small busted frame. But I can see the appeal for others.

I love them, because I have the opposite issue that Joy has--I am larger busted, and I find the v-neck cuts the width and slims my chest so I that I look less frumpy (as I can easily do in a crew or turtleneck.)

Me! If the v isn't too deep I wear them on their own or else with a layer underneath. Vs are good for my shortish neck and largish chest!

I have a small high set bustline, proportionally broad shoulders and a long narrow neck. I love V necks that are deep and narrow, not wide and shallow, but since my bust sits high I need to wear a camisole or some other layer underneath. I have not put turtlenecks under a V neck before, but I am going to try!

V-necks should look good on me but I never feel like they do so I have very few and those i do have don't get worn very often.

What em said, they’re my best neckline and I pretty much style them with anything. You can tell from the last 6-9 months of purchases that this is my go-to neckline, and any top or dress with this neckline has an immediate flattery advantage over others when I’m considering buying.

Yep, definitely! I much prefer them to high necklines, especially in winter, to break up the big expanse of fabric. I don't layer under, just over, and wear them with whatever trouser or skirt.

I used to wear them a lot with collared shirts underneath, but I feel like that looks very dated at the moment.

They used to be my #1 go-to but as my skin continues to age I'm a bit more self-conscious about the wrinkles and sun damage I've got in that area.

My favorite neckline. Depending on the weather, I wear my favorite red v-neck sweater by itself, with a tank top underneath that either doesn't show, or occasionally one that peeks out in the neckline. I sometimes wear another sweater over, and occasionally an indoor jacket. If I need the warmth, a warm scarf. Long chain/necklace and/or one that fits in the V. Sometimes scarf and necklace.

Live in them! Although I’m struggling right now about wearing them for video conferencing...if the computer angle isn’t right there might be more of a show than I planned...

V-neck is my preferred sweater style. Turtlenecks make me feel like I'm choking, and crew necks are almost as bad. I generally wear them as standalone pieces because our winters are relatively mild.

I struggle with them in recent years ... If they are too low or wide I feel uncomfortable; if they are too neat I feel a bit stuffy ... I generally opt for crews although I do have a few vnecks still!

I like V necks when I can find ones that aren't cut too low on me - yet too high (with any neckline) & I start to look dowdy. I like wrap tops that create that faux V neckline, with a cami underneath.

It's even rarer to find wide V necks, but I love them because they read almost like an edgier sweetheart neckline to me.
