I've been wearing the heck out of my brown boots. I've received more compliments about them than I can count, the weather's been cold, and the floors in our new office are slick. The boots are perfect. No apologies! Luv 'em, luv 'em, luv 'em. Don't know what I'll do when they wear out. I've had them for a few years now and they're still going strong.

Oh yes! My 3 newish pairs of boots: R&B booties, Aquatalia riding boots, and Ugg booties.

I feel like I could let go of all of my other winter shoes.... I already scaled down my boot collection, could do even more now that I've had a winter season with shoes I LOVE.

To me, it is the opposite of a problem. The more I love an item and wear it, the better. This year it is my new booties, the red coat and the red fit and flare-dress that get as much wear as possible. I never worry about this - if anything wears out, I can always replace it.

If you love them, wear them! Even if I love something, I tend to rotate. I think it has something to do with my fear of ruining it.

How is this 'troubling' to you? It's what I'm trying to achieve here! Like Rae said, the piece that goes with yourSELF, in every context...

I have seasonal favourites, but that's as far as I've gotten so far.

The only issue I see is wear and tear --- will daily wear compromise their shape or fit in the long run, say? In which case, I'd only call it 'trouble' if I wasn't able to duplicate for some reason.

I am with Manidipa on this...what do you find troubling ? I think that it really gives you a glimpse into how every piece should be. Though I know that is hard without actually putting things into use.

Don't laugh, but right now, I cannot wear my two Icebreaker merino wool camis enough. I even wore one to bed the other day !! LOL Don't wear your boots to bed...are they soft enough to cuddle ?

I do that with favorite pieces. Why not wear them every day if they make you happy?

Except that you might need to let footwear "rest" every other day, I don't see this as a problem at all! I am firmly on team WEAR. The few times I've tried to *save* something to keep it from wearing out, I've fallen out of love for it the next season (though I doubt you'll ever get tired of those boots). So now I enjoy it while I'm in love with it! Don't worry, be happy!

Hi ladies, sorry I haven't responded earlier. I am on jury duty! Anyway I am glad I'm not alone. Constant use is not so much a problem in my mind, but I do worry about wearing an item out (especially since I didn't know about letting shoes rest), no longer being creative, or just looking the same every day. On the other hand, it means my happiness factor is high and as has been mentioned, it gives me a tool to measure against all other purchases!

Appreciate all the helpful feedback so much!

My 5-year old Nine West Black flat black booties - I wear them almost everyday. I hadn't worn them at all last winter (I don't know why) and now I just can't stay away from them! A new item that I just got last week when I spent the day with Rae and Vicki, which is quickly becoming one of those "wearing too much" types are my AE light gray slouchy skinny jeans. I bought them last Thursday - and I wore them Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday - and, guess what I have on today???? The same jeans. LOVE these and they are a nice change from the BFs - and just as comfortable.
