Anyone have Okala's and Petty's? Sizing question

One of the things that has been on my "things I really need" list for about a year is a new pair of low heeled black booties. The ones I have, which are super comfy, are really on their last legs. A cobbler resurrected them for me last year to make the respectable, but I keep my eyes open.

Anyway, as I was checking out the SE Trina sandals last night, courtesy of a post here, to see if I could find them at a place that I could get free shipping, I discovered some black Petty's on sale, plus an additional 15% off. They look like exactly what I'm after.

I have Okala's so know how they fit. Any idea if I'd want the same size in the Petty's? I can order two pairs, there are free returns to this site as well, but would rather not if I had some direction.

I have small, somewhat wider feet. Generally between 5.5-6.

I have the Okala's in size 6, since that accommodates the width of my foot. The 5.5 was too tight around the widest part of my foot.

I have the Petty's in size 5.5, since I felt the size 6 made my feet look too long. That said, the size 5.5 for the Petty's are somewhat snug and accommodate only a thin sock.

I don't know if that tells you much, but I figure any data points will help you to make your decision. Good luck!

I have both in a 7.5 and I love them! I felt the size was consistent.

I have both, but got a half size bigger in the Pettys to wear them with warm socks.

Thanks Kristen, kkards, julijuli and Marcey. Your input is much appreciated. I was kind of between sizes with my Okalas, but went with the larger - I'll get the same size in the Petty's.

I have both as well. Mine are both a 6.5. The Pettys are a touch longer in the footbed, I think. The width is pretty consistent -- just wide enough for my foot, which is not narrow but also not wide. I don't wear thick socks with my Pettys -- only thinner wool dress socks. Note that 6.5 is the smaller of my two sizes; I wear a 7 in some brands occasionally. And even in another Sam Edelman shoe (Sutton sandal) I have a 7. FWIW!

I have both too but find the Petty's a little snug in width. I bought my normal size in both but need to break in the Pettys a little more.
