So happy to hear she won't need further treatment. So happy for you. Here's to an ongoing speedy recovery. Just in time for school, maybe.

Just got back from the Burn Unit. I can't say enough great things about all the people who work there. Bless them - it takes a special person to work with kids in their time of trauma and need.

DD's burn is mostly healed! But she does have one small spot that needs some more time so she has on one more dressing. Hopefully when we go back Tuesday, that'll be it.

Very late to the thread, but I'm glad to hear that she won't need surgery and is almost done with her burn unit visits. So sorry she (and you) went through this.

Dressing is off! Her hand has beautiful, baby soft, pink skin. What a miracle our bodies are! We'll be taking good care of her new skin by moisturizing and massaging three times daily for the next couple of months. A good news ending to a difficult summer. She'll be wearing a cut up sock to protect that delicate new skin.
