Anyone have experience with Chelsea Crew shoes?

I just ordered the shoes I've been lusting after (the Chelsea Crew Juliettes http://www.berkshoes.com/pc-46.....f0607_2047) and realize I've never heard of this brand before.

Has anyone tried on shoes from them, and were you pleased?

April, please report back when you receive them! I've been noticing the Chelsea Crew shoes popping up in boutique stores in SF and have wondered about them. So far though, I have not had an opportunity to try any on.

Did somebody say "Chelsea Crew" shoes? I thought I felt the earth stop spinning there for a moment! Yes, I have heard of Chelsea Crew and am in total love with my pair! I have these and love everything about them, the construction, the leather, the coloring, and most of all the comfort. They have 2.5" heels and I have walked miles and miles in them. I was a little skeptical when I ordered them because the price was so reasonable. I half expected something funky to emerge but they just keep getting more comfortable! The only thing I would reccomend is to look closely into the sizing. The reviews I read before ordering suggested ordering a size up from normal so I did and they were perfect (I'm usually a 38 euro size and I ordered a 39). Well, now I am both excited and disappointed. I'm sure mine will have to go back due to sizing since customer reviews on Piperlime as well as Wilson's report indicate that these run a full size small. Since they are Euro-sized and since what they say is a 7 in a Euro (38) is always too big for me, I ordered a 37.

Off to search for these in a 39...

April, I would try them in both a 38 and a 39 if you are able to find them. 39 sounds rather large. I know it said to size up but I would hate to see you miss out on these cute shoes!

Wilson, you said you ordered a 39. What is your American shoe size?

My American size is a definite solid 8 but my euro size is a definite solid 38 (which I know is supposed to be a 7 but its not, at least for me). I did see that my link to the shoes I have didn't turn out right and I want to clarify that the ones I have are different from the ones you ordered:

I would try both sizes too and see which ones are most comfortable. The only reason I ordered up a size was because every reviewer on these particular shoes suggested it and several had to make returns because they were too small. I'll be excited to hear how you like yours!

I think I'll find a site that has a 38 and give that a try. I agree, Maya -- it seems ridiculous to order a 39 when a 38 is usually too big (and the shoes reviewed on Piperlime were not the Juliettes but the similar one with the higher heel and no peep toe, so maybe there's a difference.)

Wilson, you are so right about those Euro sizes -- a 38 is supposed to fit a "7 or 7.5" (HOW could it fit both?) but 38s are almost always too big for me. In fact, let me know if you would like my gray Fly London pumps. I love them but they are just too big. I'd be happy to send them to you -- since Taylor sent me her shoes, I feel I owe the universe a little good shoe karma. They're the ones pictured on the far right in this blog post.

April, did you ever try my Fly London pumps? In yellow? I bet they'd fit you. They are a 37 and didn't fit me, Angie, Laura, or Sihaya! Maybe you are the Cinderella among us...

I've never heard of these but it sounds like I should keep my eye out! They are a really cute style.

Rosie, I think I first saw the Chelsea Crew Juliettes in this month's Lucky, so maybe the brand is about to become big! They were showing the shoe in a nude shade, which seemed to me like it wouldn't show off the cutouts in the leather very well.

Maya, how bizarre to have a shoe that doesn't fit anyone! Do you have the same style as my gray ones? Let me know if you want to sell...

It is the same style as the gray ones, but in a muted mustard yellow. No pressure. I just thought I'd ask since you apparently had the same problem, and I had a potential solution.

P.S. I did order the Juliettes in a 38 -- from Baker's, of all places. I never look there for shoes since I assume they only have cheaper, less comfortable brands. Hmm, where have we heard the advice, "Leave no retail stone unturned" ? Give me a minute, it will come to me...

Update: the size 37 Juliettes did arrive and as anticipated, they are too small. I'll post when the size 38 backups arrive (and Paige, I'll be mailing your shoes after work today!)

I'm a big fan of the brand's look and I bought some Chelsea Crew boots recently. They fit well but I've only worn them twice so I can't vouch for durability at this point.
