Anyone have any experience with the brand "Joseph"?

They've got these awesome looking pants (except for the drawstring; guess I'd have to wear a belt) but I've never heard of the company:

YES. My shocking pink coat - which I wore today - is by Joseph. Impeccable.

Don't toss the wool in the washing machine.

In 1998 I bought myself a stunning Joseph thigh-length leather coat for my 35th birthday. It is still my favorite and still in excellent condition with 18 years of significant wear. At the same time, I also bought a long indoor-weight coat that still draws compliments and looks great.

Angie, why not? It isn't lined and the sheep wore the wool outside.

Hm, the sheep didn't come with elastine woven into its coat, or even with a woven coat. Unscoured sheep wool is clumpy and greasy which works for the sheep, but isn't so great for a human.

Those pants are likely to felt and shrink if they are tossed into the washing machine.

Those are lovely pants and Joseph has excellent quality. I wore a Joseph coat for years.

Don't wash in the washing machine. The care instructions say Dry Clean Only and I would do just that. Wool shrinks when washed in machines, and especially when dried. My husband is reluctant to even touch my wool pants anymore, after the lovely man put a pair of mine through the laundry. The shrinkage was apocalyptic.

These very-similar-looking pants just appeared on Zara's site. Inexpensive knock-offs. Of course not refined wool -- but they are machine wash- and dry-able.
