Anyone familiar with the Zella live in leggings?

Don't laugh...I'm curious if I should give leggings a try? I know I said never! I don't know why I'm thinking about it now...probably because they are on their way out and that's when I usually decide to try something!

Anyway, these are a low price in the sale, and have gotten good reviews. For me to like leggings they would need to be: soft, stretchy, not too warm but decently opaque, with a wider waistband that doesn't dig in. Recs are welcome.

I wear the capri ones for working out. They are comfortable and opaque but I consider them gear because of the flatlock seams.

If I want to wear leggings with a tunic, I prefer Hue, because the seam looks more polished.

No legging recommendations from me, since I am not one to wear them for a variety of reasons (except for working out) but I hope you get some good input here! In general I've heard really good things about Zella stuff.

I'm with Sylvie here. I bought and returned the Zella legging. It's not that they aren't nice, but they feel like a workout legging (as they are intended), and that's not what I prefer to wear to workout. I was testing them out for regular leggings, to find I prefer either hue or ponte leggings.

I like my Zella leggings for working out. They are quite warm. I think you might prefer Hue, which are (or can be) lighter weight. I think you would prefer Hue to Lysse, which are a tighter fit at the top (they have a kind of control thing at top).

Oh, I also have a pair of Halogen ponte leggings that are super comfy. Ponte is a substantial fabric, but to me, it seems like it might be more comfortable and not as hot as the Zella leggings.

Ha, ha, ha. Something must be in the water. I've never worn leggings either, and this year I ordered the fashion ones; I think Halogen and Vince Camuto. Not the shiny ones since my legs are too chunky for that look. I think they will be delivered at the end of this week or early next week. I will post a review when I get them. Be warned that my fit issues are likely different from yours. :(.

I bought these at last year's sale and they are still going strong and look great-I can highly recommend them. They really are a great quality, very opaque and sturdy. However if you want to wear them strictly as "leggings" you may want to try something else. There is a seam down the side that makes them look like workout leggings.

Peri, also - I ordered a pair of them for workouts. They haven't arrived yet but if they come soon, I will let you know. It might be a little while, though, since that's the part of my order coming from the states.

I have Zella leggings and crops. I highly recommend them. They are great for working out and compare to the much more expensive brands. As others have said, the flat lock seams make them look gear to me so I have other leggings for daily wear.

BTW, the crops I picked up at NAS are my new favorite work out pants.

I love my Zella Live In leggings! I usually wear large billowy tunics over my leggings and they look great. They also a high waist variation now, so it stays put. I am in LOVE with them. They also come with an overlocked stitch so it looks more pant-like and less like gear.
