Anyone else a fan of thumb holes?

Or "hobo mitts" as Title 9 calls them? I've seen lots of sports gear with the extra long sleeves and a hole for your thumb, and I love it. It gives me the same feeling as BF jeans - like slouch for your hands. Not to mention quite practical for me.

I love thumb holes as well! The only things I've seen them on are athletic clothes.

I like them too. I once bought a brown Billabong hoodie on the strength of the thumb holes, even though it also had hideous purple heart graphics all down the sleeves. Back then (eight or nine years ago, maybe?) it was the first time I had seen thumb holes, and I thought it was the neatest thing ever.

It has occurred to me that I might cut my own, since every sweatshirt I've ever owned has too-long sleeves -- one of the problems with being a shortie. I've never tried it though.

Yes, but for a weird reason. I'm so tall that a lot of times I'll buy the tops with the thumb holes because they have the longer arms and actually fit me!

Ha ha! Love it! Maybe I should see if they can alter the Trouve jacket by just adding in thumb holes along the side seam of the sleeve instead of shortening them.

Sole Nay so far. I've always wondered what they were for? I have a few Gap Body items with them and never actually put my thumbs in the holes (seems restrictive and not allowing of scrunching of sleeves)

Love them on my Kuhl zippered sweater. But I've always thought of them as very "gearish" so it's funny hearing someone talk about them on a fashion website.

I first discovered them on Lululemon tops. I love them. I'd rather have my sleeves too long than short.

A lot of my Columbia casual and gear wear has thumb holes and I love them for both their coziness and usefulness. So much easier to put a coat on over a sweater when the sweater has thumb holes!

I think of these as thongs for my hands. While I easily tolerate my Hanky Pankys, and don't mind flip flops, I can't get used to the binding feeling around my thumbs. Even though they look cute.

We added the thumb holes to our school jumpers as teenagers at school. It was the early 90's, grunge was in full swing and we were at that awkward stage where you are unsure of your changing body and hide behind your clothing.
