Anybody wanna do a Nov. challenge?

OK, I need some inspiration for dressing otherwise I will get so frustrated I will wear sweatpants for the rest of my life. Anyone want to do a monthly challenge? I'm thinking of an outfit/dressing challenge rather than an SYC or culling challenge, but if that's your thing then the more the merrier.

We could call it NaDressingMo. Or maybe not.

Good idea. Perhaps add a few more themes to the challenge.

Sure! Possible ideas...

1. Black is back - using black (or another neutral) combine with colours to come up with a month of different (no repeats!) outfits.

2. the Kevin Beacon challenge (or six degrees of separation) challenge. Where everyone is related to everyone within 6 leaps! Pick one item from 1st outfit (example - top) and combine it with new items to make 2nd outfit. Take a different item from 2nd outfit (example - pants) and combine with new items to make 3rd putfit. Take a different item from 3rd outfit (example - sweater) and make the 4th outfit, etc.

I am interested. Not sure how much I can play. I am travelling for half the month to Montreal. My clothing selection will be limited.

Good idea to do a challenge during dreary November! I'm not sure I'd want to wear black every day, though--that's too close to real life for me.

I am such a whim dresser and my days are so unpredictable, I'm never much good for participating in challenges, but it will be fun to see what you all do.

I'll be dressing for mucky, dusty, dirty ranch life in November, so my challenge will not be fab and photo-worthy. Don't expect to see WIWs from me until December.

I'm in. I like the Kevin Bacon idea butblackwould work too. It is time to move my closet from hot autumn to cool autumn.. Long sleeves, light toppers, booties, more skirts or coming up with ways to wear sleeveless dresses.

Oh, so many great ideas here. I like the literary theme but it might be more of a stretch, whereas the black or Kevin Bacon/6 degrees one might be more accessible to more people. Has anyone done the Kevin Bacon one IRL? How do you deal with laundry, or do you have multiple strands going at once?

I don't know if I have the imagination to pull off a literary theme, Laura. I would try though (at least on non-work days).

This sounds fun! I might participate if it's something I can pop in and out of. November is often a CRAZY month for me.

(By the way, I did NaNoWriMo for nine years before I had to set it aside due to my business's holiday demands. I still donate a percentage of my holiday sales each year to them. Such a great program.)

Kevin Bacon sounds great. I can see that getting my clothes the rotation they deserve. Maybe if we do it by week it would give time to laundry.

Oh. I just bought some new items that I plan on wearing a lot during the winter months so I won't be able to anything focusing on "no repeats." Regrettably, I have the excuse myself from the November Challenge. Good luck to everyone else that participates.
